When you work with so tough challenging behaviour students in a high stander school environment then it is easy to feel down when you have been asked about the outcomes and its quality in so crowded day by many tasks and To Do List. The only question flows in your mind at night is how to survive on the next day!
Actually, your motivation should derive from your students. They are your strength when you already built the right relationship with cement of "love" and "respect". Trust them and believe in their abilities. Your students are not robots but humans who can feel your attitude and need to fulfill the curiosity of "why" questions. Actually, it is an almost universal law, their reaction depends on your action. Remember, they will pay back later but in different ways. It is a matter of time to harvest what you planted. Whenever you are in a hard time, simply repeat it continuously in your heart: " But I love my children" because they are only who trust in you as their moral and example for their future.

“Believe in yourself”, easy to advise others by telling them to be what they are but it is so hard to apply it and make a lifestyle. Because of my passion for mathematics, algebra and geometry, I believed it is my duty to help others who hate math and make their school life easier. I cannot remember how many I assisted, but what I am sure about is that confidence smile in their face each time they can solve a difficult exercise alone. I can remember also my colleagues in Aga Khan Development Network, Louai, Safwan, and Hassan Abo Esmail who always been supportive friends in each time I feel down. “Yes, I can do it” this should be your answer when you handle a new task, pass a horrible situation, or may in worst scenarios, losing everything. It is out of the question when the matter related to your abilities, with no doubt you can achieve something, whatever it was big but it is called an achievement. Keep trying, because only who are perfect with no mistakes in life, are who do nothing in their life! Even I chose to study Business Administration, but I didn't stop to follow my passion in education and volunteered in many activities related to the children and teaching roles. I decided to support it with a formal certificate and I finished my Diploma in Education during my military service. Why I am telling you this boring and common story of millions! Well, because every day we listen to thousands of youtube videos and read a lot of articles about the inspiration and time to live happily but no one of us has the courage to take this kind of decision and follow his dreams. Don't be afraid to follow you dream, it's the shadow of your future. After nine years of administrative experience and working in NGO, military, and industry' offices. I decide to take the risk of making a big shift in my career by starting and employing all my organization and people skills in Education field. All together with my previous volunteering experience to make a new combination which I feel confident that will make me a valuable asset and investment for the school. I was so afraid to be rejected after my first interview with The International school of Choueifat as all I have are a certificate and some volunteering activities. But now I am so grateful for both of Mr. Kevin Rabbitt in Recruitment Dept. and Mr. Armen Mansourian, the School Director at Sabis Educational Services in Sultanate Oman, who trusted me and saw beyond the nice formatted CV more than well administrative experienced and skilled candidate. While I am counting the days left to join The International School of Choueifat in Oman, I more believe that I found finally that kind of balance, happy in your life - happy in your work. This was the main reason to share my experience in public! I would like to encourage all of you to stay focused on your dreams and never fed up whatever it could take time and effort. ![]() So interesting speech by Tom Hulm! I believe that the same method could be applied on our daily routine tasks which are previously designed before we have been hired! It is easy to follow the main routes, I mean, the company procedures which obviously should be respected, but the point is if you can make the task which you are responsible about more efficient and effective, so why the company can not take this shortcut! Making these kind of shortcuts doesn't mean that you are breaking the company law, but you are doing what it is supposed or expected from you. On another hand, finding your dream job or at least the best job offer here in UAE need a lot of effort and intelligent by creating or trying a new job hunting strategies. By mean, you have to find a shortcut to pass the long boring CVs evaluating process and waiting a call or email. I would like to introduce mt Video CV which in short time after I published it in youtube, many recruiters and HR officers showed their impressing toward a new way to catch their attention. Unfortunately, I still waiting my golden call for interview, but I believe I put my feet in the right road. |
