Boosting students' Social Skills!
I believe it is all about providing different behavioural alternatives for children to deal with their peers in the school. Encouraging the students to adjust or change the targeted behaviour inside the class should always be creative in a way that you deal equally with them. Besides, recognising students' achievements and focus the light on their right choices is one of the best strategies to build a healthy school environment and a great tool to enhance their development stage.
On the other hand, using these tools support all my previous efforts to build and enhance the Social Skills of my students whether in the class or playground. Grade 3 corridor - School Year 2019-2020I believe that we have to develop our methods in parallel with students developing stages and keep in mind that they are a different generation which is entirely different from ours.
Make it simple and straight ward with more concentrating on the visual side. Term 2 decoration - School Year 2018-2019My students will back to school after the term one holiday. They'll fill the corridor with much love, fun, hopes, and many challenging cases for me as well 😅 I prepared the corridor and decorated it in a way I can support my pedagogic and psychologic plans.

'King of the corridor!' Project - School Year 2018-2019I believe simple ideas are more powerful and efficient. And when you work with children, you cannot be an external observer. Before two weeks, I arranged a competition with my Grade 4 students. For each day end with a specific number of infractions in the Discipline Sheet (A great tool in SABIS system), they will win a star. It doesn't matter how many days it took to gain the star as long as they are working as a team and encourage each other to reduce the written infractions like forgetting to bring the copybook or talking during the class. The response of the students was unexpected! The power of the group was extremely active on some challenging behavioural students inside the class.
Student Request for Students Supervisor
An interesting concept of consulting with the student. The core idea is focusing on training and teaching the children of Grade 3 how to apply their social skills to solve any conflict and be dependable to face any trouble they could make or fell in.
The project ended with significant results as the number of students' requests dropped dramatically and most of them call me only for serious cases or when they cannot reach an agreement. To get editable copy of this request application, please click here. student weekly report
With some special cases of challenging behaviour, it needs more close and daily follows up. The Weekly Student Report develops the concept of "stars rewards" to be a daily counselling with the student and discussing how much he/she met the agreeable statements before.
