Mrs Helena Bruss
English Language Teacher
I had the pleasure of working with Haroutioun in the 2017/2018 school year. I was teaching Grade 3 and Harout was the supervisor in charge of enforcing discipline in my class. This included supervision at the beginning of the school day, during recess and lunch and at the end of the day.
His responsibilities included other classes in our hallway as well, which would have been in total at least 8 classes of 30 students each. He monitored the behavior of students in the hallway as well as during class time. I could count on Harout to be an extra pair of eyes during class, checking through the door window to make sure everyone was behaving while I might be focused on assisting a student one on one. At the end of the day, he also made sure students were sent off with their parents or on the bus. He was ultimately responsible for what happened to his students outside the classroom. He communicated with my student's parents both in person as well as through email. He was in charge of many duties including making sure each student in our class had a tablet and that it was working.
He was the liaison between parent and student and received messages from parents, and monitored attendance including sick leaves. Harout and I got along and we worked together with strategies for discipline issues when they arose so that we would have the same approach. He created posters in our hallway about anti-bullying, and spoke to children about it when something might arise in the classroom or on the playground.
We could rely on Harout to take action when something happened to a student and report the same to a head supervisor. He was tireless in his effort to make sure students were enjoying their time at school. I noticed he was often chosen by the school to go on special field trips with students. I enjoyed working with him because we understood each other and my classes were never interrupted by his duties.
He is a caring person with empathy for all behaviours. In a school environment it is so important that students can trust an adult to go and speak to anytime. Harout very much cared about the students under his wing and when I saw him on supervision duty outside, it reassured me that nothing would be ignored. Outside on the playground or in the cafeteria, Harout was focused on student safety. He was not distracted. He was proactive and he knew the personalities of students very well because he talked to them. All of them. I taught English and Social Studies while he taught good behavior. Students grew with self confidence through his encouragement.
I wish Haroutioun all the best in his future of working with children, he is a reliable and trustworthy employee.

I worked with Haroutioun for almost two years in my role as a primary school teacher at ISC Muscat, Oman.
Haroutioun showed a great affinity with the children under his supervision and had a very gentle approach. He is very hard working and takes no shortcuts in his pursuit to improve the educational environment for those under his care. I can honestly say that Haroutioun’s influence on the students of ISC Muscat is a very positive one.
I would have no hesitation in recommending him to any prospective employer or educational institution.
